Service & Dedication
Beverly Wilson Epps began her journey in education in 1964 at Park Avenue, where her passion for teaching ignited a lifelong commitment to community. After retiring from Franklin Senior High School in 1997, her dedication to students never faded. Returning as a long-term substitute teacher, she continued to serve the community she loved until 2018, when she truly retired to spend her time traveling with her girls.
Her legacy is one of unwavering advocacy and empowerment. Today, HER Girls HER Legacy Foundation honors her example by investing in students and educators through scholarships and educational support. We advocate for and empower older adults and caregivers to navigate healthcare with independence and dignity, ensuring that her values of service and compassion continue to inspire generations.
“Beverly’s impact on my life was profound. She didn’t just teach; she inspired a lifelong love for learning and service.”
— Legacy Student, Class of 2018
